How I research
- Primary sources first. Study techniques are backed by peer-reviewed research, cited by author and journal, with honest caveats when a study shows a link rather than proof.
- App facts are dated. Prices, platforms and features of other apps are checked on the developer's own site and app-store listing, and every comparison shows the date it was verified.
- Calculators are tested. Each interactive tool is tested with normal, edge-case and invalid inputs before it's published, and the formulas are shown on the page.
- Competitors get a fair section. Every comparison includes where the other app is better.
