In short
ClassTrack makes a student app and publishes free guides and calculators. Our guides aim to be useful even if you never download ClassTrack. We cite primary sources, date every fact about other apps, test our calculators, disclose that we have an interest in our own app, and fix mistakes quickly.
Who writes our guides
Guides are written by Prince Kumar and reviewed by the ClassTrack team before publishing. Guest authors (see write for us) are named on every article they write, with a short bio.
How we research
- Primary sources. Claims about learning, sleep, focus or stress are backed by peer-reviewed studies or official bodies, listed in a "Sources" section on each page.
- Honest caveats. When research shows a link but not cause and effect, we say so.
- Not medical advice. Guides on stress, sleep or focus are general information. We point readers to a doctor or counselling service where appropriate.
- Transparent calculators. Every calculator shows its formula or method and is tested with normal, edge-case and invalid inputs. Tools run entirely in your browser; we don't store what you type.
How we review and compare apps
- Same criteria for every app: timetable, tasks and exams, study-time planning, grades and GPA, attendance tracking, setup effort, platforms and price.
- Facts from the source: prices, platforms and features come from each developer's official website and app-store listing, never from memory or other review sites.
- Dated: every comparison shows the date facts were verified. Prices change, so we recheck comparisons at least every six months and whenever a reader tells us something changed.
- Fair: every "alternative" guide includes a section on where the competitor is the better choice, and who should stay with it.
- Fake numbers are off-limits: any rating or user count we show must match public app-store data on the day it's published, for ClassTrack or anyone else. We don't invent testimonials.
Conflict of interest & funding
ClassTrack is funded by optional Pro subscriptions to our app. When we compare apps, ClassTrack is one of them — so we have an interest in the result. We disclose this at the top of every comparison. We don't accept payment from other app developers to change rankings.
We do offer brand partnerships (see partner with us). Any sponsored content or paid placement is clearly labelled "Sponsored" and never changes our comparison results.
How we use AI
We may use AI tools to help with research, outlines and first drafts. A human editor checks every fact, source, price and calculation, and edits every article before it's published. AI is never listed as an author.
Corrections & feedback
Found an error, an outdated price, or a feature we got wrong? Email support@classtracks.app with the page link. We aim to review reports within 3 working days. Meaningful corrections update the "Facts verified" or "Updated" date on the page.
App developers can also contact us to correct information about their own product.
